Aberdeen FC Centenary Dinner

In the presence of Dons Legends Mark McGhee, Archie Knox and Duncan Shearer

The Red Cube Club and Restaurant in London's Leicester Square played host to over 100 Dons' fans when supporters' club, Rob Roy Reds, held their Centenary Dinner on 5th September 2003.

Opportunity Knox for Archie.   The REAL Shearer takes the mic.

Needless to say, there was loads of beer drunk. Or was it McGhee's speech?   Dougie scrubs up well.

The dinner featured after dinner speeches by former Dons’ stars Mark McGhee, Archie Knox and current assistant manager, Duncan Shearer. Chairman of Rob Roy Reds is Paul Morrison, a lifelong Dons fan who is currently a business analyst in London. Paul remarked, “There has obviously been a lot going on in and around Aberdeen during the centenary year, but we wanted to mark this milestone in AFC’s history here in London. We had a great response to the dinner and AFC supplied us with some items for auction, the proceeds of which went to AFC’s youth development programme. It was a memorable night of fine food, entertaining speeches and reminiscing."

Dougie scrubs up well.   McGhee tries on a shirt for size...

...and proves that he still has what it takes to fill a Dons shirt.   Rob Roy Reds Mk II reveal their new signing.

Riddoch.   Shearer gets to his feet.

McGhee's speech. Easy for him to say. Hard for anyone else to understand!   Wee John.

Chris surprises everyone with his new look.   Everyone wishes they could be in Waynes world!
